Daily inspection operation guidelines for elevators.
Unlike the operation of an elevator, maintenance and inspections of an elevator require special knowledge and skills, because the mechanical and electrical mechanisms to automatically control elevator operation are complex. For this reason, it is highly recommended to conclude a service agreement with VMEC that is equipped with the knowledge and skills particular to Mitsubishi’s elevators.
While maintenance inspections are conducted on a periodical basis by VMEC according to the service contract, daily maintenance and inspections must be conducted by the Elevator Manager. This activity is extremely important to ensure passenger safety and proper elevator operation. The Elevator Manager must follow the instructions in this chapter when conducting daily maintenance and inspections.
